On March 23, 2015, Mr. Cryan was appointed President and CEO of Global Power Equipment Group Inc. Mr. Cryan has over 25 years of international business experience based in both the United States and Europe. From 2001 to 2015, Mr. Cryan served as Managing Director and Co-Founder of Concert Energy Partners, an investment and private equity firm based in New York City. From September 2012 to April 2013, Mr. Cryan also served as interim President and CEO of Uranium Resources, Inc. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Medical Acoustics LLC from April 2007 through April 2010. Prior to 2001, Mr. Cryan was a Senior Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division at Bear Stearns. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cryan served as Managing Director, Energy & Natural Resources Industry Group Head and member of the Investment Banking Operating Committee at Paine Webber. Mr. Cryan joined Paine Webber from Kidder, Peabody following its acquisition in 1994. Mr. Cryan has been an adjunct professor at the Metropolitan College of New York Graduate School of Business and has served as a director of a number of international companies, including public companies such as Global Power Equipment Group Inc. (February 2008 to present), Ocean Power Technologies Inc. (October 2012 to present), Superior Drilling Products Inc. (June 2014 to present), Uranium Resources, Inc. (March 2006 to March 2016), Gryphon Gold Corp. (2008-2012) and Providence Services Corporation Inc. (2009-2011). In 2014, Mr. Cryan was named a Board Leadership Fellow by the National Association of Corporate Directors. Mr. Cryan holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University.
Craig Holmes was appointed Senior Vice President of Finance on September 25, 2015. Mr. Holmes brings more than 30 years of finance and executive management experience to the company. He began his career at Arthur Andersen where he successfully rose to Partner. After leaving the firm in 1995, Mr. Holmes held a succession of chief financial officer positions and held executive officer positions at several publicly traded companies including Sizmek, Inc., Digital Generation, Inc., Intervoice, Inc. and Excel Communications, Inc. Mr. Holmes currently serves on the Board of Directors of Independent Bank Group, Inc. and Hobi International, Inc. He earned his Master's and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from Accounting from Texas Tech University.
Tracy D. Pagliara has served as our General Counsel, Secretary, and Vice President of Business Development since April 2010. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Pagliara served as the Chief Legal Officer of Gardner Denver, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of highly engineered compressors, blowers, pumps and other fluid transfer equipment, from August 2000 through August 2008. He also had responsibility for other roles during his tenure with Gardner Denver, including Vice President of Administration, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary.
Prior to joining Gardner Denver, Mr. Pagliara held positions of increasing responsibility in the legal departments of Verizon Communications/GTE Corporation from August 1996 to August 2000 and Kellwood Company from May 1993 to August 1996, ultimately serving in the role of Assistant General Counsel for each company. Mr. Pagliara has a B.S. in Accounting and a J.D. from the University of Illinois. He is a member of the Missouri and Illinois State Bars and a Certified Public Accountant.
Peter Dawes joined Global Power as President of Auxiliary Products effective September 10, 2015. Peter brings more than 30 years of experience in related businesses to Global Power. Mr. Dawes joins Global Power from Hamon Corporation, where he successfully grew the Hamon Deltak, Inc. business as the President of that subsidiary after its acquisition by Hamon. Deltak was a former subsidiary of Global Power and is a provider of waste heat recovery solutions to various industries, including power generation and petrochemical. Previously, he served in progressively advancing positions with several organizations servicing various industries within the energy sector, including ALSTOM Power, where he developed its aftermarket business in the generator and turbine marketplace. Mr. Dawes has an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and History from the University of Notre Dame.
Mr. Monty is an accomplished senior executive with a history of business growth and margin improvement at leading multi-national utility, engineering and construction companies. Since 2005, he has worked for Williams Plant Services in key positions, including Vice President, General Manager, VP, Major Projects and VP, Operations. Prior to coming to the Williams organization, he served as the Project Management Director at Mirant Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Monty graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Engineering.
Robert J. Burger joined Global Power as President, Electrical Solutions on May 31, 2016, and leads our Koontz-Wagner and IBI Power brands. He brings over 30 years of experience in global energy/industrial markets, including equipment manufacturing, power generation, and industrial service. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Burger was President and CEO of MAN Diesel & Turbo North America, leading the German conglomerate’s Diesel, Turbo, and PrimeServ brands across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. He spent several years in international wind energy, primarily with Denmark’s LM WindPower, and was based in Europe to establish and lead their worldwide service operations, eventually returning to the U.S. as President, LM WindPower Service Americas. Mr. Burger’s earlier career includes senior roles with GE Energy, where he oversaw the construction of 9.4GW of power plants, and served as General Manager, Gas Turbine Product Service, with technical responsibility for all GE gas turbines operating worldwide. Mr. Burger began his professional career in Asia as a forward-deployed U.S. naval officer, and he spent ten years either driving, repairing, or designing U.S. warships. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of both Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. and Victory Energy Operations LLC. Mr. Burger holds a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and both an M.S., Mechanical Engineering and a D.M.E., System Design from the Naval Postgraduate School. In addition, he completed the Executive Education Program (Finance) at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.
